The entire hand made set is passionately crafted from solid purpleheart & maple, the chessmen are turned on a lathe, using jigs to ensure the uniformity of their design, and then completely finished by hand. The painstakingly detailed board is 23.5" square, and entirely hand made. The king is 8.25" high. This is a prototype set. The designer / artist / decided to change this design, and therefore this is literally a one-of-a-kind creation, that will not be duplicated by the artist.
